Mara franzen

Mara Franzen grew up in Minnesota surrounded by stacks on stacks on stacks of books. From an early age she could be found huddled under the covers, flashlight in tow, reading way too late into the night, that sometimes she would only sleep for an hour or two before getting up for school. She also napped a lot.

Through her reading, she became increasingly interested in writing, social justice, and theatre. These things set her up perfectly to make the move to Chicago to study Theatre and Creative Writing at North Park.

 Now entering her senior year, she is incredibly thankful to be able to work with Vista as the Senior Editor and looks forward to discussing social justice topics in the new podcast, Pinnacle.

 While she doesn’t know what the next chapter of her life holds, she has no doubt that with a little help from a stack of books, she will figure it out.
