Light Breaths

Light Breaths

Stirring flow of fabric,
Cascading in great tendrils of light
         And liquid gold.
From the sun
      She shines just as brightly
An aura of opulence,
       A seeping magnificence.
Her eyes fluttered shut
      Soaking in radiant rays
Which is why she dazzles as she does.

Watch as she breathes subtle breaths
    Rolling hills, surging waves
    Gentle puffs like soft kisses
And memories of kisses on frozen cheeks
    And frozen hands, those delicate
         Hands
Now wound tightly in slick silk.|
Facing the sun, away from the shadows
    Of this world
         Or of the next.
Unabashed, unafraid to turn her back
On the things that have caused her pain.

Now facing forward toward You
Her sense of sight made anew
Walking past the slam of a door
    Open eyes
To the sights now in view.
